Week 7  (Week beginning 18th May)

1. Today's task is to produce all the design documents for your game.  Your design should include features looked at in this unit. The theme and characters in your game are entirely up to you.

2. Look at the lesson presentation

9.4 Lesson-5-Design-Designing-My-Own-Scrolling-Game1

Go through the lesson presentation carefully - make sure you understand the minimum items your game must include - see slide 5, Success criteria.

3. Complete the design cover sheet in as much detail as possible.  If you were presenting your idea to a game publisher, would they have a good understanding of what you were intending to produce!

Week 1 (Week beginning 23rd March)

Although many of you have already done this, you first need to sign up to https://idea.org.uk/.

***You MUST follow the guidance on the sign up info page!***

Guidance on how this should be done (including information on how to link your account to your class using an organiser code) is explained here: SIGN UP INFO

***You MUST follow the guidance on the sign up info page!***

Once you have signed up and entered your class organiser code, you need to start working through the badges.

Regardless of whether you started last week or not, you need to spend a minimum of 1 hour working through badges of your choice.

I will be able to monitor what badges people achieve and will begin to celebrate their successes on the Award Celebration page.

After Easter, your weekly lessons will generally follow the normal CS curriculum that we deliver each year, but we will also continue to dedicate some lesson time to the iDEA award too!
